DON’T QUIT,
HELP IS ON THE WAY!!!
After toiling to save the ship and their lives from the raging storm for days, what they feared most eventually happened! The ship was wrecked! It was an exhaustive swim to the shore for the only survivor. The rest died from exhaustion as a result of work none stop for days in trying to savage the ship from total wreck.
Miraculously, the only survivor was washed ashore one of the Pacific uninhabited islands. After getting himself back he went out daily exploring and gathering the wreckage washed ashore. In few days of his marooned he had built a hut from the wreckage he had gathered and began making the best of his time alone, praying daily for rescue.
After a long prayer and a good meal which he had prepared from the fish he caught earlier that morning he stepped out on another expedition on the other side of the island scouting the ocean horizon to see if there is any ship sailing by. But none was in view. Daily he kept his hope high that rescue will surely come.
Returning to his hut one evening after his usual outing, something frightful caught his attention. It was not a ship he saw, neither a rescuer but it was his hut that was on fire! By the time he arrived the scene nothing was left that could be savaged. The fire had completely damaged everything his survival was depended on. The worst had happened; this was not his expectation. Where could the inferno have emanated from? He had so many questions without answers. “Oh God why me?” he exclaimed. “What did I do to deserve this hell? If you are up there in heaven why did you allow this to happen to me?” he cried and bemoaned his fate. He struggled to sleep that night.
The following morning, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that had come for his rescue. Amazed, he asked his Rescuers how they got to know he was in the island. They simply told him that they had seen the fire signal he made the previous night.
A lot went through his mind as he thought over the events that led to his rescue. One scripture from his childhood Sunday school lessons came to his mind: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
Are you lonely, stressed and at the point of quitting? Don’t you worry! God is ready to rescue you from whatever your troubles are today. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1Peter 5:7
You are closer to your rescue than you know. Therefore, hold on a little longer, you’ll overcome.
I will not let the devil win over your life! Together we will kick him out of your life!
