GIDEON'S ARMY
THE GIDEON'S ARMY is the prayer arm of PEACE AND JOY MINISTRIES. It draws its partner from across the world. It is the engine room that is committed to praying up the storm, filling the cloud with rain and beholding the face of God consistently.
We are an intercessory group whose mission primarily is to loose the band of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free and break every yoked by the anointing of the Holy Ghost. Isaiah 58:7.
We are also committed to giving no rest to God till He establishes, and till He makes Jerusalem praise on the earth. Isaiah 62:6-7.
We pray until something positive happens concerning every request we present to Him.
Our importunity is rooted in the Gospel according to Luke, Chapter 18 verse 5-7…"And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though He bear long with them?"
However, we regularly organize Prayer Seminars, where our own Church members are trained on:
1. Lifestyles of an effective Intercessor.
2. Twenty-four hours invisible battle with invisible forces.
3. Laying aside every weight and sin that could hinder prayers.
4. How to activate and grow your faith for guaranteed answers.
5. The benefits of an intercessor.
6. The nakedness of the devil.
7. The reality of spiritual warfare
8. God's faithfulness and commitment to answer prayers.
Furthermore we organize prayer chain where every of our church members are made to occupy a particular space of time within an hour praying for others according to the leading of the holy Spirit all through the day. This system has come to strengthen our brethren and matured them in prayers.
It is in view of this that requests come to us from across the globe for prayers. Many have lived to testify of the goodness of God in answering prayers even today.
