No matter what your trials, how big your troubles, how impossible the situation, or how helpless you feel, God will give you the victory you need. He will give you rest. All you need to do is to keep trusting Him.
All around us there are more than enough things to cause us to worry if we have to. The world can never be free of things than can make one to lose his peace of mind regardless of status and size.
The things that one concerns his or herself about determine peace of mind at the long run. Outwardly, one may look like all is well but he that wears the shoe knows where it hurt the foot most. When alone and we remove the mask of our pretence we will discover the emptiness of our life without peace.
There is no peace any where in this World except the one that is generally given by God to His children or the one you decisively create in your heart despite the situation you are in. There is no Utopia in this world only trouble.
Our peace is being constantly challenged by various situations we are faced with daily. Rather than face reality we mask and pretend that it is well.
Politics, Religion, Career, Marriage, Family, Academics, and even our Faith is enough for one to lose his peace.
God didn't say there wouldn't be trouble at all but that when trouble comes we can find answer in Him if we look up to Him.
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Peace of mind is attainable if we posses the right attitude that will guarantee that. We have the key of life and death. Though we are in this world, we are not of this world.
You can be victorious even though you may have failed again and again in the past. In the natural, your situation may look hopeless, but with God every impossible situation has an answer.
Ann and I have faced many trials and we have learned these characteristics are absolutely true. You can never lose your peace of mind when you trust God completely.
"I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." John 14:18,27
You are empowered by God to determine your state of mind per time. How you react to situations matters. Your attitude determine whether the flood will lift you like it did Noah or drown you like it did the world.
In my Church, I recently shared with them on why insane people tend to live longer than the Sane. The mad man has nothing he is worried nor bordered about. Anywhere he finds, he sleeps, and anything is edible to him. He is simply not bordered at all! But because the Sane man has a lot to take care of he is not able to differentiate creative thought that proffer solution from unnecessary worry that leads to nowhere . This goes to show that our state of mind affects our general well being.
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you." Isaiah 43:2
God has placed you above your troubles from the very beginning. You've got nothing to lose because He is working it out for your good. Romans 8:28
You must ignore Satan when he says you are defeated. You know you are not. He has told Ann and I several times the same thing, but we have always found that to be false. We always defeat him and move on with our lives. You can do the same. Amen.
What about it if you lose your job, or if you are divorced, or unmarried yet? Of what benefit will refusal to be consoled be if you lose your loved one? As painful as your loses are you still have a life to live and you can only move forward when you choose to dust off your troubles.
There is an adage that says "'even when you are crying don't let the tears blind your eyes Open them wide while you weep because you will still need them to see thereafter."
" Be anxious for nothing...and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:6a-7
Thank God you lost your job! Now you have the time to do better things in life.
Thank God you failed the other day! Now you have another opportunity to do it even better.
Thank God you have not secured a job yet! Now you have the time to acquire more knowledge that will even place you better in life.
Thank God you didn't marry when you wanted to! Thank God you didn't travel when you wanted to.
Today aren't you glad that you didn't get some things when you thought you most needed them. You can look back in retrospect and see that God knew why the delay.
"Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." 1 peter 5:7
You must learn to see something positive in every negative situation. With this type of attitude you will never lose your peace of mind.
When your mindset about life is right you will enjoy an unending peace.
